PROGRAM COSTS
DUES & INITIAL COSTS
Dues
Starting April 1, 2024, BSA is moving into a subscription based model. This means the yearly National and Council fees will be paid directly to BSA and will no longer be included in Pack 726's yearly dues.

Fee Schedule as of April 1, 2024:

Scouts:
National Fee: $85.00 (no new member joining fee)
Council Fee: $40.00
Pack 726 Dues: $50.00

Volunteering Adults:
National Fee: $65.00
Council Fee: $40.00

Pack 726 charges Scouts yearly dues to help cover the costs of a neckerchief, slide, awards, supplies and activities. The Pack does a yearly holiday wreath fundraiser to help pay for achievement awards, activities, pack meeting expenses, and more. Pack dues for the 2025/2026 school year are $50.00.

In the event that your family is experiencing financial hardship and you need financial assistance with pack dues, please speak to the Cubmaster or Treasurer. All inquiries will be held in the strictest of confidence and every effort will be made to assist you and your Cub Scout.

When completing their youth application, Scout families may also choose to purchase a subscription to Scout Life Magazine for $15.00 a year. (Scout Life is the monthly magazine of the Boy Scouts of America. Its target readers are boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18.)

Uniform
Each Cub Scout is required to wear the uniform associated with their rank. For more information on uniforms, please visit our uniforms and insignia page. There are several components to the Scout uniform, the most recognizable being the uniform shirt. With the exception on Lion Scouts (kindergarten), all Scouts wear a uniform shirt with the national council required insignia patches.
The cost of a uniform shirt as of September 2025:

Lion: $15.00 (uniform t-shirt - no insignia patches required)
Tiger, Wolf, Bear: $51.50 ($33 uniform, $9.50 patches, $9 sewing charge)
Webelos, Arrow of Light: $58.50 ($40 uniform, $9.50 patches, $9 sewing charge)

In addition to the uniform shirt, Scouts are required to purchase a Scout belt. As Scouts earn achievements, they will earn belt loops to display on their belt. As of September 2025, the cost of a Scout belt is $15.00
OTHER COSTS
While not required, additional expenses may be incurred. They include, but are not limited to:

Cub Scout Summer Camp
Each summer, our Pack has the opportunity to attend Scout Camp. This is a highly anticipated event that the kids (and parents) look forward to each year. The cost to attend summer camp in 2024 was $316 per Scout ($112.00 per adult). To help offset some of this expense, our Pack has a yearly fundraiser selling holiday wreaths. In addition to helping fund Pack events and expenses, each Scout has the opportunity to earn 25% of the profits from their wreath sales as a credit towards the Scout's camp fees. There are also scholarships available for families who qualify. For more information about summer camp as well as fundraising offsets and scholarships, please visit our summer camp page.
Pack Spirit Wear
Scouts and their families have the option to purchase shirts, sweatshirts and other items from our Pack Store. (Pack shirts are considered Class B uniforms.)

Den & Scout Spirit Wear
You can also find (online and at your local Scout shop) many rank and Cub Scout themed items. These items vary in cost but include apparel, hats, keychains, backpacks, water bottles and more. While these items are nice to have, they are by no means necessary to have the full Scout experience.
