Kindergartners work toward the Lion rank. 

 

*Adult partner participation is required for all Lions.*

Please note: Any new Scouts will need to earn their Bobcat Badge before working towards their rank badge. Lion Scouts will earn their Bobcat Badge when they join Scouts and will receive their badge at the conclusion of their kindergarten year.

The Lion rank is earned by:

• Completing the five required core adventures.

• With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet entitled How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.

Outside of the required adventures, Lion Scouts will also work to complete elective adventures.

​

Some of the things Lion Scouts will learn about this year are:

  - what it means to be a good scout

  - participate in a flag ceremony

  - fitness and nutrition

  - being a good member of our community

  - outdoor safety
