Den Leaders: Lance Price and Mike Weed
Third graders work toward the Bear rank.

Please note: Any new Scouts will need to earn their Bobcat Badge before working towards their rank badge.
The Bear rank is earned by:

Completing the six required core adventures.

Complete at least one elective adventure.

With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet entitled How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.

Watch the Protect Yourself Rules video for 3rd Grade, Bear.

Outside of the required adventures, Bear Scouts will also work to complete elective adventures.

Some of the things Bear Scouts will learn about this year are:
- tools and tool safety
- pocketknife use and safety
- planning campouts
- hiking and wildlife
- the American flag, the Pledge of Allegiance and US history
- community leaders
- what to do in an emergency
