ARROW OF LIGHT DEN

Den Leader: Kristine Whittaker
Fifth graders work toward the Arrow of Light (AOL) rank (previously called Webelos II).

Please note: Any new Scouts will need to earn their Bobcat Badge before working towards their rank badge.

This is a special year for Scouts as they being to work towards transitioning from Cub Scouts to Scouting BSA.
This year will include several opportunities to meet local Scouting Troops to determine which Troop is right for your Scout. In the Spring, AOLs will 'crossover' from Cub Scouts to their new Scouting BSA Troop. Your Den Leader will help with this transition and AOL Scouts will participate in our Pack's Crossover Ceremony with their new Troop. With this transition, AOLs will only participate in Pack activities though the Spring.

The Arrow of Light rank is earned by:
-
Being an active Den member for at least six months since completing the fourth grade or for at least six months since becoming 10 years old.
-
Completing the four required core adventures.
-
Completing at least one elective adventure.
-
With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet entitled How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.
-

Outside of the required adventures, AOL Scouts will also work to complete elective adventures.
